Two tramps meet on the side of the road. The two men remember that they are supposed to wait under a tree on a Saturday for a man named Godot; they do not remember the man named Godot very well, but they think he was going to give them an answer to a question that they don't know.
WAITING FOR GODOT revolutionized theatre in the twentieth century and had a profound influence on generations of succeeding dramatists.
“A daffy, damp, surprisingly effective version ... Who knew this play could still surprise?”
The New York Times
“An arresting vision of "Waiting for Godot" that resonates even after the curtain call … J. Kyle Manzay and Wendell Pierce are a well-oiled vaudeville machine” Variety
“Bracing and immediate … A thrilling new Godot for our times” Time Out New York
“Classical Theatre of Harlem mounts a deft restaging of Beckett’s masterpiece … Wendell Pierce, as Vladimir, and J. Kyle Manzay, as his saucer-eyed sidekick, Estragon, achieve a glorious comic chemistry.”The New Yorker

“A thrilling production at The Classical Theatre of Harlem. I would imagine that Beckett would be thrilled with director Christopher McElroen’s audacious interpretation of his play … This Godot is deliriously entertaining and profoundly moving, all at once.”
