The Classical Theatre of Harlem’s Triple Threat Performing Arts Academy provides quality, affordable arts education designed to produce well rounded performers, highly proficient in music, theatre and dance.

CLASS SCHEDULE & DESCRIPTIONS

Triple Threat 101 (Beginner/ Intermediate)
Tuesday & Thursday 11AM-12PM | Ages 13-18 | Tuition: $350

This course teaches students the fundamentals of creating a character, improvisation and speech development. Students will learn to use their body and voice as a tool of communication, as well as the responsibilities of the professional actor. In addition each aspiring actor will participate in one dance and music class to further develop his or her individual interests and talents.

Triple Threat Program (Advanced)
Tuesday & Thursday 12PM – 6PM | Ages 14-18 | Tuition: $ 850

This program is designed for students who have a real passion for the performing arts. Students enrolled in the full program will receive an intensive theatre arts education involving music, dance and acting. The Triple Threat Program works with students on an individual basis in order to target their specific needs and strengths so that they will be stronger candidates for upcoming collegiate and professional auditions.

The full Triple Threat Program includes the following classes:

Music Class
Tuesday & Thursday 12PM - 1:30PM
The music portion of the Triple Threat Program is designed to identify, enhance and expand the specific musicality in every student. Throughout the course, students will learn basic music theory (how to read music) and various vocal training exercises.

Dance Class
Tuesday & Thursday 1:30PM – 3PM
The dance portion of the Triple Threat Program focuses on the use of the body as an “instrument” used to communicate moods, ideas and emotions. Students are taken through various styles of dance to build a versatile dance vocabulary.

Advanced Acting Class
Tuesday & Thursday 4PM- 6PM
This course challenges students to express the full spectrum of emotion, complexity of mood and subtlety of thoughts in order to portray a character, while paying great attention to speech, diction and script analysis.

All students who wish to enroll in CTH’s Triple Threat Performing Arts Academy must audition.
